Reading 'Etica para Amador'

How would you talk about ethics with a child? And how should a father talk about ethics to his children? An how about teachers to students? Savater poses this question to himself and revolves around reflecting on moral issues in 'Etica para Amador', a book he writes especially for his son Amador but that in fact is directed to all tenagers in general. I think that the writer tries to encourage the readers to reflect about moral issues, which will probably help them when dealing with the making of decisions in their everyday experiences. Ethics deals with questions at many levels and in a wide range of situations. It concerns not only religious people, judges, lawers, and doctors, but also to each and everyone of us. For this reason I find this book really appealing, and eventhough I have read only a few pages, it has caught my attention because it is writen from a very personal point of view and reflects the concerns of a father that wants to tell his child many things that come directly from the bottom of his heart.

Looks like you're an inborn blogger, Adriana! 8-D At least, you know how to grab your reader's attention for sure!

Is talking about it the best way to teach Ethics, in your view? As a teacher, do you expect your job to involve teaching Ethics to learners? (you may want to discuss this with Lucía, who makes a point along similar lines).

See you around!
